Starting off as MistWolf, she graced Chat Avenue: Teen Chat starting circa 2001. This is where she initially encountered roleplay – she joined the silly clan wars of the n00bs, but soon found a fascinating thing: speed fighting. She let the speed fight encounter between Calutika Vienchi and Fayt Valentine begin to shape her as a roleplayer herself. She learned to properly format her actions, she learned to type properly and grammatically, she evolved.
Many names replaced MistWolf over the years, most notably: Eden Vienchi, Ash Mortikai, Immortikai,Ashlynn Daelyth, Lana Mortikai, Joei Kanzaki, Yukio, Mercy, and lastly, but most importantly, Maverick.
2005 saw her migration from Chat Avenue into Refuge Chat, where she learned of various types of speed fighting, not just T2, but H4. In fact, H4 became her new go-to and she met some of the roleplayers who helped shape who she was. This is where Mortikai was created – her first family after branching out of Vienchi.
Between 2005 and 2010, Maverick graced Refuge Chat, RealChat, The Keep, and Second Life. There were a few other, smaller chats, such as Nemesis, that she also had feelers in.
At the end of 2010 saw the birth of her co-owned chat – Karma. There was no notable roleplay, it was just a chatting community.
In 2013, Karma closed its doors and Maverick took a break. She didn’t re-enter chats until approximately 2015-6, when she was drug back by Cloud Filth AKA Johnny King (RIP their toxic asf relationship).
Today, Maverick dabbles in speed fighting and turn-based fighting, but mostly just for fun. She’s not exactly the competitive type and never has been, but she will definitely fight for the lulz
